It is January 2024. A new year. The year I expect to publish my first novel.
It’s taken a long time to reach this point. I’ve always dreamed of being an author. I think I made the decision to become one when I was around ten years old.
I’m in my thirties now. I’ve been practicing for a while. Probably for too long, if I’m being honest. I think I’ve spent far too much time doubting myself. The prologue shouldn’t be half the book.
So, with all of that said, it seems like it’s time for an introduction.
My name is Edmund Axton, and I am a novelist.
I primarily write horror, science fiction and fantasy. My old university lecturers will be bitterly disappointed I’m not writing literary fiction, but hey, you can’t please everyone.
I’m not on social media much, mostly because I spend all my free time writing stories. But now one of my novels is going to be published, I will do my best to post regularly here on my website with interesting tidbits, my thoughts on writing, and updates about my progress on future projects.
